you also must have the SI Captcha plugin installed which is causing the large gray area. Go to the SI Captcha Plugin Settings and see if you can change the CSS from there or select the option to use the external style sheet and then do the changes in the child CSS file. Or find another captcha plugin.

The above comment is a spammy one. I’m getting around 10 per day.
I’ve a anti spam plugin that can’t handle pings and trackbacks.

Anyone knows a better way to get rid of them?

I’m using Mystique 3.1 and I badly need a Captcha plugin. SI-Captcha worked great for all other themes I know but doesn’t work with Mystique 3.1.

Any Ideas? Which one (of the very many) Captcha Plugins will work with Mystique?

Cheers,

Timon

For those that are seeking captcha plugins you might be interested in: Stop Spammer Registrations Plugin (http://www.blogseye.com/i-make-plugins/stop-spammer-registrations-plugin/) it doesn’t use the captcha system but I find it is very effective especially if running alongside Askimet.

The Stop Spammer Registrations Plugin works by checking the IP address, email and user id of anyone who tries to register, login, or leave a comment. This effectively blocks spammers who try to register on blogs or leave spam. It checks a users credentials against up to three databases: Stop Forum Spam, Project Honeypot, and BotScout. In order to use the Project HoneyPot or BotScout spam databases you will need to register at those sites and get a free API key. Stop Forum Spam does not require a key so this plugin will work immediately without getting a key. The API key for Stop Forum Spam is only used for reporting spam.

In addition to checking on the top forum spam databases, the plugin will optionally check agains several email spam DNSBL sites such as spamhaus, dsbl, sorbs, spamcop, ordb, and njabl. In testing, this sometimes caught spam that the comment spam databases missed.

It is very effective against combating spam and imo more proactive than the captcha solutions, additional options are also included in the plugin to restrict certain email addresses, etc.
